Default Calendar Issues & Wireless Syncing issues

I've done a few searches and haven't found a thread that pertains to this issue. I apologize in advance if this issue has been discussed before.

here's my two scenarios:
1.) I have a user that will accept a meeting request on his BB and it will not show up on his Outlook calendar. The reverse is also the same. This occasionally happens. I've asked if he deletes it off the other one before the sniffer works, and he can't tell me yes or no. Other than perhaps that sniffer function in Outlook's calendar, any clue to why this might happen?

2.) I have users that are claiming that their Blackberries are not deleting from their outlook. All users on the Email reconciliation are set to "prompt" them for deleting just on handheld or on both. Now, I have about 427 users (soon to be more) on my BES Server. I understand that it slows down if you have 300+ users on the server. If I have the end users force a reconciliation, it works. I know it can take up to 20 minutes to delete, but why are some users still having those messages on their e-mail for days?

Any thoughts on these two issues would be helpful.

from personal experience I can relate the following info for each points:

1. If there is a main + backup server, this problem can arise when the main server is down and the blackberry starts routing through the backup server. Just yesterday, we had a problem at our company with people experiencing calendar sync delays of up to 5+ minutes and the only thing we could find as a cause was that the mail server those users were on was down, and their info was being routed to the backup mail server.

2. This problem seems to be an issue with the state database on the BES, from what I've experienced. Recreate the state database, and emails start reconciling properly again.
