I know some people in the past, like myself, were annoyed with the fact that you could no longer push the '1' key to bypass someone's greeting message. Anyhow, by accident, I figured out the new bypass key - '#'. Someone may have stated this before, so this may simply be a re-hash of old info.

Also, if you're listening to voicemail messages left for you, and you just want to delete and go to the next w/o having to listen to the operator's voice for those valuable extra seconds, push '7' to delete the message then '7' again to bypass the operator voice.

Just some tips to save you from having to spend extra time on the phone, as well as plan minutes for extra, actual voice time.

Hmm I was under the impression that when you check your VM that it was free if you called from the berry. I better double check this!

It's not a question of free voice mail (which I have) but free time ... seconds maybe but it's good to feel in control.

in the past, that wasn't the case. you'd have to dial it from a regular line in order to qualify for 'free'. dialing 611 (customer service) from your handheld was free, though.

it may have changed on the voicemail part, but with my experience with T-Mobile and their greed for moolah, i figured that their changing the VM bypass system and adding in 'mandatory' LENGTHY audible prompts were a means of using up more of your time/minutes.

From what I have seen off my of own T-Mobile bill as well as others, if you have mobile to mobile, then the call to VM is free, otherwise it uses your minutes.

I have free voice mail. But I have an ancient package!
