I never had this problem. However, I know that when I first switched to Cingular (I had a Motorola V551 phone), I was able to change the time delay (in seconds) before the call was forwarded to voice mail. Do a Google Search fro GSM Codes. I think the codes are universal and can be inputted from any phone. I know the code to increase the delay worked on Cingular, but I forget what it is. You might try this and see if it solves your problem. Here are a couple of links: http://www.geckobeach.com/cellular/secrets/gsmcodes.asp http://www.arcx.com/sites/GsmFeatures.htm http://web.telia.com/~u47904776/gsmkode.htm
I think the Destination Number in the string is your voice mail number. I also think that Cingular's default is 15 (maybe 20) seconds before Voice Mail answers and you can change it in 5 second intervals up to 30 seconds.
