Sprint Blackberry Plans
 

I recently activated my new 7130e with Sprint and was asked if I knew about the available data plans to choose from. The CSR (who worked in business section) told me there were 3 options:

1. Browser only for $25

2. 5 MB internet/email for $39.99

3. Unlimited internet/email for $49.99

However, she said they were offering a 2-yr special on the unlimited plan for $39.99, i.e. after 2 yr the price would go back up. Has anyone else heard about these options. I have the BB primarily for phone/PDA capabilities and don't need email. Internet would be nice, but not for that much. Is the $25 browser only plan even available?

You were misinformed. There are indeed 3 plans available, and you are correct about all 3, except for one detail. The $39.99 unlimited 2 year promo does not change after the 2 years. If you sign up for $39.99 unlimited, you will maintain that price as long as you don't voluntarily change it.

Yep, 39.99 ONLY and worth it to me but you may not need that particular plan

I don't think you want the $25 plan. I am responsible for our company's Sprint acct and I looked at moving all of our Blackberry users to this plan to help save some $$. My acct rep informed me that this plan does not include email (really). All of our users are using the 5mb plan (which pools kbytes since they are also on pooled voice plans).

I wish sprint offered their blackberry for $19.99 under the sero plan like nextel does.

The $39.99 plan includes PAM as well.
