Now I know this is a pain but I'm sure this will fix it -
Perform a full backup of the device
Wipe it (Option > Security > General > click anywhere.. 'Wipe Handheld' - This clears all data
Restore, but choose the advanced option that allows you to restore selected database only. Only restore things you have data on (e.g. address book, etc.)
If you're on BES you may need to reactivate.
If issues are still occuring than the handheld is not at fault - but something with your BES/BIS.
