Default Bb Keeps Deleting My Emails!

Please Login to Remove!

I downloaded the new BB software for the 7230 - now my emails are automatically deleted after 2-3 days for some reason! My It Dept. Has Checked This Out Already But No Solution Has Been Found. Under General Options For Email It Says Keep Messages "forever" So Am Not Sure What The Problem Is. Could Someone Please Help? Thank You!

how much free space do you have left? your handheld will start deleting old email as you run out of space

to stop this try uninstalling some applications - like games - that you don't use

Default BB deleting emails

Thanks - but I don't have anything extra on the blackberry unless the new software put something in there... This is very frustrating as I used to keep months worth of emails in the BB and now can only keep 3 days' worth!

What are you , using BES or Webclient.
If webclient ,is it 1.8 or 2.0
If 1.8 , do you have auto aging setup

Go under Options and Status : Check the Free Memory space

If you are using BES are you manually Filing messages to a different folder manually?

Call your Carrier Support for Blackberry,ask them to walk you running Application Loader to re-install the Handheld software on the unit.Try not doing a backup restore during the upgrade process.

Now I know this is a pain but I'm sure this will fix it -
Perform a full backup of the device
Wipe it (Option > Security > General > click anywhere.. 'Wipe Handheld' - This clears all data
Restore, but choose the advanced option that allows you to restore selected database only. Only restore things you have data on (e.g. address book, etc.)

If you're on BES you may need to reactivate.

If issues are still occuring than the handheld is not at fault - but something with your BES/BIS.
