Red face Will BB ever support full sync? (without BES)

Please Login to Remove!

I am sure this has been asked before - who knows ... anyway ....

I am getting really tired of not having full sync with my exchange server just because I won't buy the BES software. Will RIM ever release a cheaper version of their BES or provide a service for individuals who can't get BES?

You know I don't believe any hardware devices out there can compete with a BB but I just found out any Windows Mobile 5 device can do a direct and full sync without any 3rd party software or servers ... pretty sweet. That is a reason to switch - RIM need to get with the times.

Thanks

Yes, if you have Exchange server 2003, with the appropriate feature pack. And you can put up with Windows Mobile.

If you are willing to buy new devices, why are you not willing to buy BES.

PS - seen BES Express yet? Check it out.

I will go check it out thanks - the reason I won't buy it is my company won't let anyone install it .... picky picky - regardless why should I buy it when new devices support it free .... spending $200 for a new device is nothing.

I'll see what I can find now on that express.

thanks

balibe: yup

I'd still like to add, this BES Express is great but if your company doesn't let you run it, you're out of luck. A version we can buy ($99?) and run on the BB that can connect directly would rock!

Does RIM have a suggestions email/forum?

Thanks
