Default Verizon's EVDO network

Why is their EVDO network still horrible? It's plagued with bugs. Switching is still a problem even after their Handheld updates. EVDO seems to only be a problem on the Berry, nothing else. TREO, other devices have no problem, ROCK SOLID SIGNALS.

So explain that to me...and why is it taking so long for them to address this issue? Why should we be paying for something that belongs in BETA?

My BB is on Cingular, but I do have a Verizon wireless card for my laptop that I use. Where are you located? And where are you having problems?

No real problems with either other than in places where there is no signal coverage, which are few and far between.

I have a similar problem, but not sure if it is related to location or the technology. I am on the fringe of the EVDO network where I live, so I think it is just a coverage problem. I travel quite a bit and don't seem to have a problem when I am in large metro area (i.e. Boston/DC).

BTW, I have a verizon aircard as well and it exhibits the same behavior as my phone.

Because it is still in development.

It is not a question as to why the network has issues, it is a question of why the hell they market and sell a product that is not ready for primetime.

Have you tried changing your primary HA addresses?
