Default Blackberry and G-Mail

Please Login to Remove!

I have several email accounts that I access with my BB.

On any account if I delete a message and choose ON MAILBOX AND HANDHELD option, works great on all mail accounts except G-MAIL.

Is there something unique I must do for G-MAIL?

Thanks for any help.

Mine does that too. There is a filter or something you can set up but I don't know what it is. Try checking google.

it might have something to do with the fact that GMAIL does not support 'leave on server' configurations. Not sure though.

Also Gmail has the Archive feature so there are two options of what to do with old email. So maybe it doesn't delete the emails by default because you could also archive them.

you have to forward your g-mail account to your blackberry e-mail account. set it up on your enterprise server to run it that way. your replies will look as if they are coming through your g-mail account. i had the same problem and the tech support at cingular hooked it right up for me.

Gmail is using POP access
as such when you choose to delete on mailbox and handheld it will delete of your BB and Gmail's POP server - which is not the same as the inbox

This is why it's not working as you wish
who knows if this will change in future
