Default Need a calendar

Please Login to Remove!

I am new to BB 7250. I now need a calendar program so I can sync with the BB. I have Windows XP Pro on my computer and for the life of me I cannot find a calendar program on the computer. Two questions,1. Is there a calendar program with XP that I cannot find, 2. If not, can I download a calendar program that will sync with the BB 7250 and if so where can I find it.

Many thanks for your help.

Outlook is the calendar app you're looking for. It isn't installed with the OS; it's installed with MS Office. Do you use Office?

I can't help with suggestions for software that will sync with the BB. I have noly ever used Outlook.

Someone will certainly tell us if I'm wrong, but I don't think Works will sync to the BB.

Works doesn't seem to be an option for calendar sync in Desktop Manager, so I guess not.

Your options for calendar sync are:

ACT! 4.0.2/2000/6.0
ASCII Importer/Exporter
GroupWise 6.0.x
GroupWise 6.5
Lotus Notes 5.0/6.0/6.5
Lotus Organizer 5.0
Lotus Organizer 6.0
MS Outlook

Outlook works good and they have a public beta going now on Office 2007, but if you're not computer savvy, you might just want to buy Office 2003.

If you ever plan to get a personal BES server (not going to get into all of the reasons to get one right now), you could get Outlook 2003 for free.

Link2Exchange.com offers free Outlook 2003 for its BES customers.

A very brief reason to get a personal BES server?
You can use either your Blackberry OR Your Microsoft Outlook to make appointments, task, memos, address book entires etc. All of the data that you put into your Handheld or desktop get sycned wirlessly via a server. Very nice for people that want access on their BB and Desktop or laptop without wires.

Probably goes without saying, but don't confuse Outlook with Outlook Express. Outlook Express won't sync.

Wirelessly posted (Cingular-Blue 7290: BlackBerry7290/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/101 UP.Link/5.1.2.9)

Hotmail's online calendar won't work either. However, there is a thread regarding GoogleCalendar sync somewhere around here. I haven't tried it since Gcal doesn't play nice with my Outlook2003 due to its attachments. -Steve
