Default Did I Kill It? Can't do ANYTHING...

Please Login to Remove!

I have an 8700g on T-Mo in Colorado.

This afternoon, I noticed I'd not been receiving emails for a while so I power-cycled my 'berry. My "EDGE" turned to "edge." Interesting.

So I tried to PIN myself and got a red X. OK - that's no good. Tried to go to "Host Routing Table" and register. Sent the message but got nothing back.

Tried sending Service Books - nothing.

So in desperation, I tried a Security Wipe since everything is backed up on my work computer and I can restore it tomorrow.

Now I have nothing. Still "edge." My Host Routing Table says "No Entries," and I can't send service books or register.

The only thing I did different today was to use intellisync for the first time ever.

PLEASE HELP!

I would guess that you had some sort of outage on the tower (s) that you were using.
Here in Nebraska, GPRS coverage is spotty, and I would find a tower that had gprs, but not GPRS.
I would call your provider (ugh!) and have them check your account settings also. I had a CIngular BB that stopped working, and they had to reset my entire account. Took an hour on the phone, but I got my mail back!

Don't think it's a tower issue... I'm at home and have a tower across the street... And it didn't work for my entire 20 mile commute from work this afternoon either.

On the phone w/ RIM right now... Apparently my Blackberry account was "suspended" -- whatever that means... They're checking things out while I sit and listen to very soothing music...

For the record, after 75 minutes on the phone with T-Mobile and BB last night and another hour and a half on the phone this morning, I'm back up and running.

They "suspect" that someone reported the PIN of a stolen BB and it was very close to mine and that a typo caused it to "suspend" my service. Who knows...

It's a good thing I love my 'berry because between 2+ weeks of very delayed emails when I first signed up and 2 days of inconvenience calling and holding, if it were any other device it would be on eBay by now...

Here's hoping for smooth sailing from this point forward!!
