Default Nextel $24.99 5MB Blackberrry Application Plan?

Please Login to Remove!

Does anybody know what this is supposed to come with? I have this on my 7520 and the only program I can get to work is opera mini. I cannot send/receive emails, i cannot send/receive text. I looked at my service books and there are none. I tried to resend service books, but that did not work. Also did master radio reset and nothing still. Tried to do the register thing and still nothing. Did I get the wrong plan or am i doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.

You don't want that plan. I almost changed all of the BB users on our corporate account to this plan (to save $$), but my account rep informed me that this plan does NOT include email. She saved me from receiving calls from our 200+ users, including the company president.

You need to get a FULL Blackberry Plan. I would suggest the unlimited as those little bytes are used up faaaaaast!

Nextel has 2 5MB plans - one is $24.99 and the other is $39.99.

The $24.99 plan is an 'Application Plan' and will not allow you to send/receive email on your Blackberry. I don't know about text messaging.

The $39.99 is true email plan (and internet).

Usually you have to call them and ask them to add a texting package. The blackberry plans don't usually come with text messages. It is a completely different add-in.

SMS is extra monthly fee with Nextel and if you keep that $24.99 plan I bet you will incur extra charges as over your limit, I did.

Do yourself a favor and get the $39.99 unlimited plan ASAP if you use the BB at all. They will not stop your service when you reach 5MB, you will pay extra for anything over!
