Cool Seperate Address Books?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everyone I've searched through the forums for some time now...long time user first time post'er.

First off let me say thank you to all of you who have posted solutions in the past I've put many a tutorial to use.

My question is and I'm afraid the answer is "NO" however is there away to create 'sub folders' inside the address books...for example to seperate out business and personal contacts...I currently have a Blackberry 7100g on the Cincinnati Bell/AT&T network if this makes any difference. I'm also using the Desktop 4.1 software and my phone is currently sync'ing with outlook express...I hope that answers everyones questions.

I love my Blackberry and all that can be done with it I just wish I could seperate out my address book a little bit instead of scrolling through 500+ business contacts just to get to the few personal ones I have in it.

I know I can spell part of the persons name and it will filter itself I'd just really like them to be altogether seperate. Plus in the case of hiring a new employee I'd like to be able to just load my outlook express contacts onto their phone and give them all of the business contacts at once.

Any help is greatly appreciated and keep up the good work.

Wirelessly posted (Cingular 7130c: BlackBerry7130/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

When you save a contact there's an option of called catagories. You can choose buisness or personal.

As option94 suggested, categories work great, once they are assigned you can use the Menu Option Filter to lview only those in a certain category. It's two bad that the current version doesn't all filtering on multiple categories the way Outlook does. I find that feature of outlook to be extremely useful.

Hope this helps.
