I live in a "good to excellent" coverage area and I had a problem with only getting 1 bar of signal. I called TMobile's customer care and told them that if I shut my 8700G off I would have to go about 200 feet from my front door before it would lock back on. I went away for a month and came back and now I roam EDGE on Cingular and get 4-5 bars depending on where I am in the house.

dont turn off your phone, you'll pick up Tmo's towers again. You should consider switching to cingular if this is the case.

It goes back and forth between TMobile and Cingular. I'd trade it in but it's a work BB.

and i supose getting your company to just switch for you is out of the question. cingular probably put up a tower close to you while you were gone and the signal is better than tmo.

Either TMobile or Verizon, and I'm (un)lucky enough to be one of the few people who travels overseas, so switching to Congular isn't an option. Cingular doesn't work very well where I work either.
