Default Outlook 2007

First time poster and yes I did a search on this topic!

I see most people have had trouble using Outlook 2007 beta with their blackberrys but I wanted to know if it is possible to get it to work. Nobody gives an official answer one way or the other in any posts so can anybody get it to work? Thanks.

Were you able to sync? That would be terrific!

I am running 2007 with no problems at all. At first my AVG virus protection was wiping all my text in in-coming mail, but even then it was fine on the BB. Changed the config in AVG to just scan and NOT "sign" virus free and all is well.

Got the Beta 2007 last night. Everything works fine.

I did transfer all of my Outlook/BES (link2exchange) settings from my old Outlook. Actually, it did all of it for me....But anyway, all of my variables sync.

The new Outlook is nice. A little time to get used to...But nice.

Can you continue to run older versions once outlook 2007 is installed, and can they read the same pst file?

No idea, but if you backup the old PST then install 2007 then copy the backup to "C:\Documents and Settings\*USER NAME*\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst" it might work at a guess. Not tried myself as Iv given up with outlook deciding to delete me contacts everyother time I synced unless I opened it up before syncing. Talk about teenagers, lol.

Well I just switched from the 7130c to the 8700c and I can no longer sync with Outlook 2007. I have the same issue that others have mentioned where only one PIM function (address, tasks, contacts, or notes) can be synced at a time.

Does anyone know if it can be done with the 8700g? I have been tempted to go ahead and upgrade to the beta, but I wanted to see if anyone has tried with this specific model and what results....

Thanks in advance.

Default BB 7290 Sync with Outlook -- need help

Hi Folks - I am using the 7290 and can sync only intermittently, and not my notes. I'm not on a BES - just migrated off (lost my job) and loaded a completely blank securitiy policy. Any 7290 users that have been successful with Outlook 2007? I am loathe to change email programs. All my data (tons of the stuff) is in Oulook. Help?

Outlook 2007 (Office 2007 Enterprise Edition) syncs contacts (BDM 4.2.0.10) without a hitch.

There ya go. Surprised it almost took 20 replies to get to that point. The key is to synchronize with the latest version of Desktop Manager.
