My message counter shows up as -1. I've deleted all messages and it still shows -1. Anyone know what I can do?

I have a BB 7290 from T-Mobile and use GMail.

Try a Cold Re-Boot (battrey out, wait 15 - 30 secs, battery in). Sometimes that helps this problem.

Check your saved messages. There is likely an unread message in there.

I did search -- I used the terms "negative message indicator" and the response was: "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."

As far as saved message, I deleted every message on the unit, and it still displayed -1.

It finally got back to normal after installing the instant messaging program from T-Mobile -- now I have that program as well as a correct message indicator (and it also re-added all my deleted messages). At least it is normal now.
