Is there a way that I can link my laptop to my handheld to connect to the internet. Trying to avoid buying a Wifi card.

It depends on which model handset and which carrier you use.

There are threads here that discuss the the specific steps you will need to take.

I have a 7100i and nextel service.

Thank you guys for your help. I am also checking out the shark modem.
