Unhappy Sync E-mail with Outlook w/o BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I know this might sound stupid. I use a BB and I believe mine is BIS, I have my internet providers e-mail(like AOL, but here in Brazil). My computer is a laptop, so I don't plan to leave it 24/7 on.

Is there any software or a suggestion to bypass my situation and sync the read, non read, deleted and others?

If the suggestion will go by using my Outlook via IMAP, how do you suggest I control it? Is there a way I can still file in to folders when doing so?

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME

I am new and this is really driving me crazy, I get at least 50 emails per day, all work and the way it is, I don't know if I reed, replied....

Thanks

I talked with an IT guy at my company the other day and he told me how to set up a redirect in outlook to get my emails sent to the BB. Not a forward, but a redirect. The only thing you can't do on BIS is accept invites this way. I haven't tried it yet, so I can't give 100% instructions. Hope this helps.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/154 UP.Browser/5.0.3.3)

Thanks BBerry77,

But the redirect would double and so on, not sync'ing. My problem is to sync, like a palm program does, for isntance.
On the BES you control your mailbox form remote, without how can I sync when I get to the office....

There is no way to "sync" your messages.

If you have BIS 2.0 (no inbox online) check out this RIM article

Livelink - Redirection

Picking nits here - there is a difference between reconciling and syncing. When people ask about "syncing" mail, I think of ActiveSync and how it syncs up the Inbox with a WM/PPC device.

Wireless reconciliation is a bit different - but that is just my opinion.

In any event, the article quoted above is great.

very true NJ - you can't sync email

however if he just wants emails marked as read when he opens Outlook reconciliation should do the trick (at least w/ the AOL)

Well, the thing is, I am getting a copy of my inbox on the BB and another in my PC. But both are seeing as not read, if delete in one, doesn't help in the other and I have to delete and mark as read all the time. So I am doubling my stress instead of solving it.

Do you have wireless reconcilation set on your BB? (Messages->Options). Also, be aware that it only happens one-way - messages read/deleted on the BB will be so marked/deleted on the remote email account (POP/IMAP). But not the other way around.
