Hi all,

Is it possible to sync a BB 8700f device with you mailbox on a laptop which isn't on the network?

e.g. our marketing manager goes to the airport, she receives a mail on her BB with an attachment. She would like to open this on her laptop to look further but has no remote access. Can she connect her BB to the laptop to sync the mailbox with the BB to get the attachment off instead of the exchange server?

No - there is no way to get the message from the BlackBerry over to the laptop. Sorry.

I have exactly the same problem. It would be great if you receive your e-mail on your BB (as it is on 24/7) and if you want to edit something, you can sync it with your laptop so that you can work much easier!

Is there not another program/application which can resolve this problem. I doubt that we are the only one who would prefer this.

Now you have to reconcile your e-mail on your BB and on your laptop, which is double work (and a double connection!)

I hope that someone knows an answer!

First off, Blackberries don't sync email. I'm sure this is in a FAQ somewhere.

Second, I can't see syncing mail to a laptop, editing the email on the laptop, syncing it back to the Blackberry, and sending it from the Blackberry as "easier" (versus choosing reply, typing the reply on the BB, and sending) unless one really has physical problems using the Blackberry or unless there are attachments involved.

However, I guess everyone has his/her own preferences... Why not contact RIM with the suggestion? I'm sure they'd respond if there was enough demand for a feature.
