Okay, if I send an email to my client Outlook account, I get and email stating:
This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry Handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.

It looks like something is in fact happening, but I don't get the actual email I typed into the BlackBerry. The message was HI, but I haven't gotten that, and it's been almost 10min.

Any suggestions are welcome! I seem to have the BlackBerry hang too when I try to do the Enterprise Activation. I know I have some type of Nextel service since the indication icon says "Ready and in service", and I can get walkie-talkie and normal phone service communication from a different state just fine.

Why did you start Enterprise Activation? That's only for BlackBerry Enterprise Servers. Did a BES admin give you the one time password?

The message you see could be a result of starting EA when it should not have been started.

I'm set up on my company's BES server and I was getting the message earlier this week. The it dept removed me from the BES server and then readded me. When I was getting that message, none of the recipients received my emails that I sent out to them. Since the IT dept added me back on the server again after removing me, I haven't had this issue. I'm not even sure why I started receiving that message. I've been using BB devices for 5 years and I had never seem that message until this week.

If you're not on BES, then there was no reason for you to activate the enterprise activation as you were told previously.

Thanks for all the replies. This BlackBerry isn't mine, I'm actually helping someone get their BlackBerry email to synch up with their local instance of Outlook. I just want to try to help them out to get everything in synch w/o any knowledge on how things were set up initially.

It sounds like the Nextel program that was signed up for should allow for this, but we did get a statement on one of the Intellisync windows saying the "...server does not support wireless email reconciliation." This is in a word document I made as I was going through some steps last night and taking screen shots.

Would this be a Nextel question? They do have wireless communication, and when I send an email from the BlackBerry, I get the arrows that say going out and coming in....and their Outlook account does have that encyrpted email saying "..don't delete this the server uses this to process..blah, blah".

if the owner is on a BIS; not BES do the following...

uninstall desktop manager
reinstall choosing BIS option - NOT desktop redirector
remove the 2 desktop service books from handheld
