Default Blackberry & Multiple Carriers

Please Login to Remove!

HI there.. i plan on moving to the US for a while and am wondering if I can use my blackberry with cingular or t-mobile ( or any gsm carrier ) without any modifications to the blackberry other than unlocking & a new sim?

Also, is it possible to use the same sim you would use for a blackberry, in another unlocked phone?

Thanks

as long as its a quad band gsm berry you should be good. cingular and t-mobile both use 850mhz in some areas, i know a lot of non-us phones don't support this band.

Wirelessly posted (Cingular 7130c: BlackBerry7130/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Nut unless you mean a while as in at least a year, and you plan on signing a contract, you won't be able to use it's data features. You can't use them on prepaid.

Yup -- same SIM's as other GSM devices.
