Default Speed Dial during a Call?

Please Login to Remove!

I looked around and I can't find any way of using a speed dial type function for use within a call. (ie. not to make another call) I have a service that allows me to transfer an incoming call to another phone by using a series of DTMF sounds (normal keys and #*) however I'd like to program a few "regular" numbers to transfer to.

Short of programming something, does anyone know of a way, or an application that will enable me to do this?

Thanks!

Ok, I guess no one has seen anything like this. Any developers out there willing to put something together? I'm sure I could get a couple donations from people I know looking for something like this.

What you want is the manual forwarding of calls to certain contacts via shortcut keys while on a call. You are on the phone with X and Y calls in. You send Y over to Z using a shortcut key while remaining on the line with X (or putting X on hold). Do I have that correct?

Hmmm no, I'll restate.

I have a service whereby when a call comes through, and I've already picked up the call, I can redirect it to another number by pressing a leading code (in this case "**") Then the phone number I want the call to be redirected to (ie 212-555-1212, then a trailing code (in this case "*").

The only way to get this to work during a call right now is to enter the entire thing manually.

I'd love to be able to wheelclick during a call, select "Transfer" from the menu, be given a list of 4 configurable phone numbers, select one, at which time the whole code and number are played to affect the redirection of the call.

It would save me from "accidentally" redirecting the call to a typo induced wrong number.
