Default gmail account - set up to fwd to bb address or receive directly?

Please Login to Remove!

I just purchased a 7105t. I set it up to receive email directly from my Gmail account rather than have my gmail forwarded to a blackberry email address which i would receive on my handheld. ANy pros or cons in doing it one way or the other? I was told that fwding to a bb address will get my mail delivered faster but i am not having any issues with delays at the moment. TIA.

I think the new BIS 2.1 works pretty quickly for Gmail.

I was forwarding until last week with the upgrade to BIS 2.1. Now I have it "added" like a POP account.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

When I first transitioned over to bis 2.0 there was a delay when receiving gmail messages but now, for me atleast, it is instantaneous. Hardyly any delay, if ever.
