Why do anything? If you are not happy, then the deal is off.

Never - ever - post an address or phone number on the Internet. NEVER - how would you like it if I posted your name and number here. That is plain foolish.

You claim you got ripped off, but that is no reason to post personal information.

You want to post his handle here - fine. But NOT his name, phone number or any other personal information.

It is the WRONG PLACE.

And if you think I am angry, you are right.

MOCAZEN 08-21-2006 01:43 PM

Well obvioulsy your not "SUPER MODERATOR" material if your getting mad at information of someone getting ripped off, fall back with that anger towards me, just explain ok, and if i rip someone off, so be it i get plastered all over the net, thats what i get, so relax and take a chil pill

Do you regularly take a dump in other people's houses like this?

This site comes with certain rules and standards of conduct. This particular one is nearly universal throughout the Internet. You don't post personally identifiable information on public forums. There isn't a forum worth the time to post on that permits this.

No one's insulted you. Instead, you're insulting the people who make this a forum site worth visiting.

Sorry about the trouble you've run into, but that does not give you the right to decide what rules you get to violate.

Well said! (y)

No - you claim you got ripped off, then violated someone else's right to privacy by posting his name, address and phone number.

I did not take this action unilaterally - I was concerned about the forum integrity first. I did not intend to insult you (although you are getting REALLY CLOSE to that one too).

I suggest you go post elsewhere.

If you sent the BB to him and it was locked by a carrier, I would try calling the carriers security department and give them the info like pin, model etc.

They may be able to help.

And I would learn from this and not post any personal info
another thing, the info you want to post may not be him but some other person who did nothing.

MOCAZEN, the BST forum is for personal trades and/or transactions with no financial interaction on BlackBerryForums.com's part. All personal information is kept OFF the forum, as it is our responsibility to protect the privacy of our members. We can assist law enforcement with IP addresses, email addresses used to sign up for the account, etc., however your posting someone's personal information on an internet forum is actually grounds for legal action against yourself, even if you were a victim in the initial claim. Just because someone wrongs you does not give you the right to retaliate against them - it's downright illegal.

As with various other systems similar to the facility found in our BST forum, if you want to warn people against other members and your past dealings with them, post their member name, your experience with them, and nothing more.
