tmobile blackberry help!!! i recently purchased a used tmobile blackberry 7290.i am currently a tmobile user but everytime i insert my sim card ,the blackberry won't let me input the password ,only when i remove the sim then switch it on again ,then it will let me input the password and let me into the home screen.does anybody out there know ,what's going on??? |
Did you buy the BB new or used from someone else? |

It's possible that an older SIM card won't work in the newer phones and Blackberries. You might need to get a new one from a T-Mobile dealer. Should be free. Also, consider resetting the Blackberry. That should wipe any leftover corporate IT security stuff that may be lingering behind the scenes. |
I don't think that's it. I have an ancient Voicestream card and it works fine in my BB. txparadise - exactly what message are you getting? Is it a SIM card unlock message? |
I've got an old SIM from the Voicestream days too. I've been wondering how long it'll be before the gold contacts are too scratched for it to read. |
thanks guys for the help,i found out that my sim card was to scratched up to use,so i ended up getting a new one ,which fixed the problem!! |
