Default Forwarding Stuck?

Please Login to Remove!

BB 7250 Question: I recently set up a forwarded phone number for the first time. After switching back to "DO NOT FORWARD", my voice mail is inaccessible. When calling the number, it rings indefinitely and callers don't get the option to go to my voice mail. When I call my voicemail, I get a busy signal.
I have checked the forwarding area. The second item is "dotted". When I dot the first choice to NEVER forward and then save, when I return to the forward config screen again, the dot is back on the second item. I have removed all choices in the forwarding item for phone numbers and all 3 areas on that screen where you would enter a forwarded number has been set by me to "Do Not Forward".
Any ideas? Why does the selection always go back to the second item? Why isn't my voicemail accessible any more?

you have to select "forward when unavailable" and have your voicemail number setup, for your VM to answer. When you put the VM number in, it should update that infdormation to the network and your voicemail should work again.

Thanks for the quick response. Okay, I've selected forward when unreachable and entered my VM number. Still busy when I try to call my number from the BB. When I call from a land line, now it is also busy!

I tried entering my phone number is both of the Forward fields (when no answer and when unavailable), also tried just when no answer. Neither works.

Your voicemail number is different than your phone number. If you don't have it, you need to get it from your carrier.

Thanks. How did I lose my VM capabilities? I'm there was not a number in the forwarding fields before I set up the first forward. Also, is there a way to locate the VM number on my phone?
Thanks. You've been very helpful.
