Default Calendar keeps flipping to wireless synch

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 7290 using BES Express 4.1. I am only using wireless synch for mail right now and would like to keep doing so.

It seems that every day when I first cradle and connect the USB to my handheld to perform a synch, the calendar gets flipped to wireless synch. I change it every single day and still can't get it to stick.

Anyone seen this behavior before? Is it a setting on my BES or handheld?

I've seen cases where someone's set this to local on the device but the BES has overidden it. Set it under the PIM options under the user properties on the BES as well as the device and you should be OK.

I have set it on the BES server by assigning an IT policy setting which disallows wireless calendar recon, I've also made (continual) changes to the handheld calendar settings. On the handheld, I open the calendar, trackwheel, options, scroll to wireless synchronization and change the option to 'no.'

When I launch the desktop manager software, the handheld and the desktop software clock for quite a while and when they are finally done my calendar is flipped back to being wireless again. My gut tells me that while it is clocking it is synching up somehow but I can't be sure...it clocks for between five and ten minutes.

The option gets flipped every time I launch the desktop software.

I don't know if this is part of the same problem or not, but I also keep getting like five occurences of any holiday or recurring appointment on my handheld and in Outlook whenever I synch up. While it would be nice to have five christmas' or new year's eves, it's annoying as anything. Are these related?
