Angry Body type not supported by Remote Host

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Guys

We have recently implemented exchange server, and have a number of accounts forwarding mails back out to Blackberrys on Vodafone and O2 in the UK. We intend to move over to BES soon, but cant afford to just yet.

Since the move, we have had a number of emails boucing back to us with the following message...

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: testmessage
Sent: 19/08/2006 23:07

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

[STEVE BLACKBERRY] on 19/08/2006 23:16
The message contains a content type that is not supported
<mailserver.aish.org.uk #5.6.1 smtp;554 5.6.1 Body type not supported by Remote Host>

Has anyone heard of this before or know how to stop it?

Many Thanks

Steve

I think it means mime type content in your email is not supported by the blackberry device. It does not know how to parse the content and sends the bounce message back to the mail server to let you know. Have not seen it before though. What was in the email???

they are nearly always only text.

It works fine when its sent from a user on the exchange server, its only some external users this happens from.
