US bought BB - now living in Germany - help!
So, I bought an 8700g before I moved to Germany. The idea was that I would use BB Redirector to send and receive my personal email. So I went out and bought a new SIM here in Germany at the local T-Mobile store. Slipped it in and nothing!!! It reports that the "data connection has been refused."
While in the US, upon booting up the device, the signal would go from "gsm" to "gprs" and than finally to "GPRS" and it was then I could receive my email on the browse the web. Which leads me to another question....my Internet icons are missing.
T-Mobile in Germany has been completely useless. They donít know about the "blackberry redirector" software. They want me to use the "email push" option.
Can anyone shed some light here??

The reason your I cons are missing is because you need to able to connect and the send your service books to your self so that your bb registers wit the network, your might need to mess around with the settings...take it tonobile over there and atleast connect to the internet
Well, you are ALMOST right. Well, not really at all.
You need to get a BlackBerry Data Plan added to your SIM card. It's not as simple as throwing in a SIM card into an unlocked BB.
Contact the carrier and ask for their Data Group. Tell the you want a BlackBerry Data Plan. If they can't help you, ask for the BlackBerry team at T-Mobile.
