I want to be able to copy a received e-mail with grib attachment from my 7230 to my laptop via the USB connection. The pc software is version 3.6.2.9. I cannot see any way of doing so with the above. Have I missed something or do I need some more software or a handheld upgrade? (This one is 2 years old). My purpose is to get grib weather files received offshore onto my laptop chartplotter.

Not possible to do so. Best bet, forward that email to yourself and open it on the laptop.

Thanks for suggestion but the laptop is not mobile connected which is why I wanted to use the USB.
