SMS vs PIM vs Email Hi, question on what is the best option. I'll be receiving notifications on my 8700c BB of voice-mail left on a separate service. The notification can come as SMS or PIM or email. My newbie question for you veterans is: Is there any reason I should pick one method over the other? Speed of notification? Reliability? Other??? -Dave |
Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700c: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102) FYI, it's PIN and not PIM. But I would go with either PIN or e-mail. That way if you don't have a text message plan, you won't get charged for it and if you do, it won't take from your SMS. PIN and email are just part of the data plan that you pay for every month so there wouldn't be any additional charges. How do you get to decide how your voicemail arrives to your phone? |
