Default POP3 leave mail on server, how to?

Please Login to Remove!

I have my new 8700c working just fine, except for one little tweak I need to do somewhere..

I am running personal email thru, while waiting for my corp BES info..

I have my own linux email server at home, and also use roadrunner.. when traveling, I set my mail client (not outlook) to leave a copy of the mail on the server (accessed for POP3)..

I also turn off my home Windows system when away.

So, how do I configure the BB client mail retriever to leave the mail on the server?

why not just set up your email account to forward to your BB address instead of the BB logging in and pulling it. Your email will get to you faster as well instead of every 15 minutes.

cause I am trying to keep my processes the same.. when I am on the road, my home PC is off, and thus my mail is NOT deleted at any server. I don't have to remember how to forward etc.. some of these mail servers aren't mine, and I don't know if they support forward, or how.

You don't have to. BB client mail retriever leaves the mail on the server by default.

I have Outlook set to leave a copy on the server. BIS automatically leaves a copy but marks it "read". So, if Outlook gets it first it leaves it. If BIS gets it first, it leaves it as read. I have my POP account set to delete read mail after two days. It all works out so I get all mail on Outlook and BIS and it's automatically deleted from my POP server.

Again, I don't use Outlook as my personal mail client

Yeah, I read that. I was generalizing about a procedure and used my specifics as an example. I didn't mean to be confusing. Sorry!
