BlackBerry only checks "Inbox" on exchange server Hello, I've searched the forums and both the official BlackBerry and my carrier's support sites, to no avail. Here's the question: On our exchange server at work, I have a filter set in Outlook so that if email comes in from a certain address, it moves it to a "Terri" folder I've created in Outlook. My BlackBerry does not display these messages at all, only messages that stay in my Inbox. How do you get your BlackBerry to download messages that are filtered to mailboxes other than the Inbox? I assume I have to modify or delete the filters in Outlook? Anyone been successful with this? |
You should be go into e-mail settings assuming you're on a BES and add folder redirection for the Terri folder |
Not using an Enterprise server, if that's what you mean. |
So are you forwarding mail to your BB or is your Exchange account integrated via BIS? |
The messages are probably actually appearing on your BB while they are in your inbox then moving away when your filter moves them. This is surprising since your BB doesn't know where the message went, it will usually stay on the BB. You need to make your Terri folder a sub folder of your inbox. You will then be able to see it from your BB and the messages will stay in view. |

BIS checks the inbox only for integrations - if the emails are not in the inbox they will not go to your handheld if you want to keep the set up you have you'll need to get a BES (or use redirector - which means you won't get attachments) |
