Text Messaging If I am told to "Text 'mensfit' to FORD1", how do I do it? I have a TMO 7105T |
Any Help? |
I'm not sure what you're trying to do. Usually you send a text message to a number. Please give more information. |
The magazine ad reads "Text "mensfit" to FORD1 to get a complimentary Mustang ringtone and wallpaper download to your mobile phone." |
You always have to send a text message to a number. So create a text message, write mensfit in the message area and send it to the number equilvalent of FORD1. Look at a regular phone and type the corresponding numbers for each of those letters. Send mensfit to 36731. |
actually if u type in the letters it should work too. u can just hold down the alt key and type "FORD" then let go of the alt key and hit "1" and that should do the trick, no? |
I know that works for dialing a phone number. It mocks the dial tones for each number. I haven't heard anyone confirm that holding the ALT key also works for SMS messages. |
well ill give that a try right now then :-) |
aaaaaaaaaaaand it worked. but i did do it to somone that was already in my phonebook. im sure that shouldnt make a difference tho right? |
Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700c: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102) I'll confirm it for you...holding down ALT and typing the letter will automatically dial the correct number that it should. If you see a phone number on tv and it says 1-800-EXA-MPLE, hold ALT and type the letters and it will dial the correct number for you. |
Got it, thanks all. |
Sweet! I didn't know it did that. Now I will press ALT instead of trying to figure it out in my mind. |
