You always have to send a text message to a number. So create a text message, write mensfit in the message area and send it to the number equilvalent of FORD1. Look at a regular phone and type the corresponding numbers for each of those letters. Send mensfit to 36731.
actually if u type in the letters it should work too. u can just hold down the alt key and type "FORD" then let go of the alt key and hit "1" and that should do the trick, no?

I know that works for dialing a phone number. It mocks the dial tones for each number. I haven't heard anyone confirm that holding the ALT key also works for SMS messages.

I'll confirm it for you...holding down ALT and typing the letter will automatically dial the correct number that it should. If you see a phone number on tv and it says 1-800-EXA-MPLE, hold ALT and type the letters and it will dial the correct number for you.
