Hi All,

Just got my first blackberry a 7130v on vodafone. When I get an email the red light flashed but I don't get any sound to tell me its arrived. The phone is on the standard profile but the instructions that come with the phone are few are far between.

Can anyone tell me how to set this up

Profile, edit, should be able to change message notifications from there.

go into your profiles and set it up to use one of the many ring tones on your device. You can to set it notify you of a message. Make sure the mute is not on. look in the manual under setting profiles

You'll also have 'in holster' and 'out of holster' options. I generally have the 'in holster' options the same but add vibrate alert to them to make sure I don't miss those vital emails!!!

I don't really have a manaul as such just a quick start guide. Someone told me to click the profile with the scroll button but this just selects it

Scroll to the bottom of the list of Profiles and click on"Advanced" and then you can click on each profile and 'Edit'

I just for my first BB. I would like to understand how I configure filters and profiles?

This is what I want:

During the day between 7:30am - 9:30pm, I want my BB to beep and vibrate only if emails have been sent to me while my email address was mentioned in the "TO:" field. I do not want my BB to beep or vibrate when receiving emails that were sent to my distribution group or cc'd or bcc'd to me.

Between 9:30pm - 7:00am, I do not want to hear any beeps nor vibrate on receiving any emails.

How can I get the above done? Please help.
