Default No Incoming Calls

Please Login to Remove!

Hello fellow BB users. I'm new to BB, this is my first one. I just got the 7520. I got it through my job. But upon getting it, I can't recieve incoming calls via phone number. When calling the number, the BB doesn't ring, vib or show anything on the screen. But the phone that I call from rings like normal and the voicemail comes on. I can call out and DC in and out. Anyone got any ideas on what the problem is?

The profile is set to Default. That's not the problem. Also on the phone screen, it says "My number: Unknown". I can make outgoing calls, but can't recieve incoming calls. The phone stays in standby mode when a call comes in then eventually goes to VM. Programming problem maybe??

I am not exactly sure what could be causing that.

I know when I got my first blackberry I had the unknown number thing. I called Cingular and they had no answers for me. I don't know if it had to do with the fact that I got it from ebay, as a second user or what. It never effected my calls.

When it comes to the phone call making side of things, you may just want to contact your service provider. Make sure they have things working right.

When you call a phone the ring you hear is only on your side.
I would call your carrier again, sounds like the SIM is not registered in the system.
All it takes is one digit off.
