Default Total 5 free Magmic games on mobile.blackberry.com - 03-08-2005, 12:09 AM

If you go into Blackberry Extras -> Games. You'll notice there are now (maybe always but I don't remember so) 5!! Magmic games to download. 1 out of the 5 (the Raging Rivers one I think) requires registration after a while but the others seem free...

Go Blackberry

When I go to the page I have the links to download trial or purchase. Are you saying the trial really is the full game?

Texas Hold-em, Bass Assassin & Klondike are all free. I pulled them down and do not have to register. Now, if Magmic e-mails me my free key for Bowling I'm in heaven!!! They just added TH-em & the rapids game in the past 24-36 hours!

Who do we owe the thanks to for these free games? They aren\'t free on the Magmic site so who can I thank?

Just ring tones for me too. Anyone have a clue why some are able to get the games while others aren't? Could it be a setting? I've tried using a 7250 on Verizon, a 7290 on Cingular and a 7230 on TMO. All with the same result. I have the SVG option checked.

I was able to get the 5 games for free, but alast, they seem to be gone... I guess it was a limited time offer!

I don't know why you can't see them, but they are still there under both the games/applications and blackberry extras menus, I can see them right now.

So can I...I downloaded the Texas Hold'em Poker and it works fine (not very intelligent in betting, but that's ok)

Instructions:
Making Sure You Can Download The Free Games

1. Make sure you have a color BlackBerry.
2. Follow BlackBerry Web Browser FAQ to configure your web browser.
3. Launch the BlackBerry Internet Browser, not the WAP Browser
4. When you go to mobile.blackberry.com, make sure you see the full-color animated webpage (SVG), Shockwave Flash style. (not monochrome)
5. Follow the "Games" link.

Thanks,
Mark Rejhon

I have issues with #3. My 7520 non-BES isn't supposed to have the BB Browser, yet I opened the NOL (WAP browser) and was able to pull down the games... Are the instructions different due to the iDen setup?

I can't get this working on Vodafone Uk, I believe this may be due to lack of enhanced browser! I have also tried trials of webviewer and Browserboss to no avail only get the monochrome site! :(

How exactly do I do this?

I am only able to see the monochrome version. I turned on the Flash/SVG on my web browser, but when I go to this site, everything is black & white and I don't see any flash, color or animation.

If I go to the "games" link, then I see a link to Magmic. If I click that link, it brings me to their website where it shows 4 games and says "trial version" next to each of them. Are these full versions of the games or just trial versions? And if they are full, why do they say "trial"?
