Since my upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1 the "restrict my identity" is missing from the phone options.

Any ideas?

Give a little more details. Are you using the OS for your 7290 provided by your carrier? I.e. you are not using 7290 OS from Verizon on a Cingular phone etc. Have you done a hard reset or battery pull for 15 - 30 seconds? Hard resets/battery pulls usually solve most problems. Give that a try and let us know.

That is strange, it should still be there.

Any updates on this issue? I have the 7290 on Cingular on v4.0 and do NOT have the "Restrict My Identity". I have done the hard reset and nothing.

are you on a bes? i.e. work setup. I believe that this option can be blocked via it policy.

tomryan.....I am using BIS personal plan.

was the phone on a bes at some point? (did you buy it used?)

look in options/security/general

does the word "policy" appear anywhere? (and I am not a diehard bes admin, so someone else could confirm this, but I do recall this being a policy setting)
