Default What happens to a stolen Blackberry

Hello All,

I am contemplating buying an unlocked 8700r BB from ebay. My worry is that the BB is stolen. If infact it is stolen, would i be able to register it on my BES? ie, would it be blacklisted from a BES? Would i be able to sign up for a sim from rogers?

What else should i watch out for on ebay?

The best thing to do is ask for the serial numbers, then call it in to Rogers and ask them to verify that it was not stolen and can be reactivated on the network.
