Default Adding an additional address book to a user's BlackBerry

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have a user that has recently been given a 8700g. Although he's happy with it, on his old BlackBerry he was using his team's shared address book (he was unable to specify where that address book is held). When his new BlackBerry was activated, it did not sync this address book.

I've never had to add an additional address book to a user's BlackBerry. To be honest, I didn't know it could be done. Since he has previously had access to it using a BlackBerry obviously is possible - but how?

Can anyone help me please?

this would be done through desktop manager.
Have you tried that?
Is it located in a public folder?

Turns out the address book is on his C:\ drive. A new version of it is copied there by his PA every month. I imagine using Intellisync would be the best idea but he says he gets "weird error messages" when trying to use it. Sadly he wasn't at his desk when I spoke to him last, so I'll have to call him back when he is and see what problems he's having.

Thanks for the help.

You can as long as you're not syncing wirelessly.
