Default Couple of queries on fone usage......

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all - just wondering if someone has had to answer theses questions before:

when customer selects the fone icon from the main screen, on the title line it says: "My Number - Unknown" whereas on the user guide literature it has the users number included. Is this an instance for getting in touch with the service provider or is it a setting through the Sim setting in Options?

Another:

I transferred the users Nokia sim card contents to the Blackberry sim card as his number was being ported accross to the Blackberry SIM. He can now access his sim contacts through the Address Book, Options, View SIM Card Contacts. The question is: If he receives a fone call through to his device, which will then be displayed in the Messages area, is there any way of saving this to his sim card contacts list rather than adding to his address book that will then synchronize with our Lotus Notes system? (which we don't want to do)

Thanks for your times and thanks for the setup of this board!

Hmm, I dont have much experience with GPRS based blackberries, but I am assuming that you need to program the berry to accept the clients phone number, either that, or its available in the phone menu.

I hope someone chimes in here that is familiar with GPRS BB's

You can either try to re-seat the SIM card and if that does not work, call your carrier and they can send down a packet that adds your number to that line.
