Default Data Usage

Please Login to Remove!

Hey,

Well basically i just signed a contract with Vodafone (Use them for everything) because of crappy signal with other providers in the area.

Now i have 6MB Data Allowance, which i thought to be pretty low, BIS is included.

Anyway, that 6MB is per month, on a guess, do you guys reckon that'll be enough for maybe 25-35 emails per day, no attachments, just text and a few HTML emails such as from eBay etc...

Not overly great with predicting Data Usage, and just wanted to know whether BB's are economic with Data Usage and don't go and eat it all.

Also does the BB use any Data when idle for instance...

Rgds,

They said they didn't offer an Unlimited Plan on the phone to Sales earlier, larger limits are available on Data Cards only...

I've watch the amount of data used by my BB. It's rarely over 4MB. Google Maps uses lots of bandwidth. If you use your BB just for email, you should be fine.

Yeah i'll be using email mainly.

And if i can get any messengers to work i'll give it a try, probably just use BlackBerry Messenger and E-Mail.

That would be about it.

I had problem you had, 5mb Data allowance for BB on VDF... I only used it for emails and rarely came over 2MB a month (some days 100+ Mails)... Good thing with a BB is, it only pushes first 2kb (?) of a Message and loads more when needed...
(now i am on 5gig T-Mobile and use my BB for Mail, IM, Web,...
