Default 8700c: Why did my POP email accounts stop delivering to my blackberry?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a bb 8700c / cingular / I have had configured 2 regular POP email accounts and my Hotmail Plus account for the past three months with no problems.

Now, since about a week ago, the POP email accounts are not delivering to the blackberry. They still work fine on my desktop in Outlook. I haven't changed anything, no password or configuration changes. I logged into the cingular blackberry site and checked email configuration - everything appears to be fine. Curiously, my Hotmail Plus account *is* still delivering to the Blackberry. Only the POP email accounts stopped working.

I tried reinstalling, but the problem continues. I tried searching this board for any recent threads on this topic, but didn't fnd anything. Having exhausted all other ideas to resolve this problem, I post this message, hoping for suggestions.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read my issue and thanks in advance for any replies.

Have you tried resending your service books from your BIS login?

Or editing your user name and password for each account in BIS? Sometimes deleting and reentering the info will work.

or making sure your Outlook is still leaving a copy on the server - sometimes it'll change back to the default (which is to not do this)

This same problem developed for me earlier this week. No changes were made to either one of my email accounts that I have set up before the problem started.

I reentered the username and password as well as resent the service books in the BIS system and so far it hasn't worked.

This happened to me this week also - just stopped working with no changes on my end. I tried reboots, battery, re-sending books with no change. I then deleted the pop account and re-added it in the BIS and then it started working again. I have seen posts in a couple of different places of folks having the same issue this week.

The same thing happened with me today--and I tried all the suggestions mentioned in previous posts. What I eventually discovered was that my messages were not being saved on the server, even though I had been previously and did not change the setting. Once I went and re-checked the box to "save messages on the server" in outlook, it started working again.
