I use Google Maps on my 7100g and since my company changed my IT policy I keep getting an error message that says one of the modules is trying to make an internal connection which is not allowed by my IT policy. This error message appears about 3 times. After clearing it each time, I am able to download the info after all.

Is there a way to reconfigure Google Maps so it doesn't keep trying to connect through my BES server? An e-mail to Google Maps produced a response that was unintelligible.

I would discuss it with IT first. You must be using MDS at your firm which is internet access and gives you the Blackberry Browser. You can one reset your firewall settings in advanced options and see if that clears it up but otherwise talk to IT first. They might not know they have done something they didn't want to do.
