i've searched all over but i just have a question....is it at all possible to add a number to the phonebook simply by typing it in? i mean without typing it in, calling it, hanging up and then adding to address book. or clicking on the address book and then clicking new address. i just want to type in a # and have it store.

No. You can go into the address book, click the trackwheel and choose "New Address" and then give it a name and #, but that's it.
