Very New to BB. Have a whole slew of general questions....
Can you have the back light go on when you press any key or button, and if so how.
Does BB software come with its own sync program like palm. Ex typing info to laptop program Like tasks, contacts.....and sync it to theBB, or do you have to use outlook? because under desktop mgr, I can only set up syn for contacts. Is there any third party software? And how many speed dial do you have? how do you attach a name to them?

Welcome, friend. Please check out the FAQ above (sticky thread), as most of your questions are answered there.

- Backlight: Would need to know what BB model your have to answer this one.
- BB's Desktop Manager Syncs with Outlook...doesn't really have a "Palm Desktop" type of feature set.
- Press and hold a letter on your keypad to assign a speed dial to it. You can have one for each letter of the alphabet.

Again, welcome.

Search for and download "BBLight". It will allow you to utilize the BBs backlighting feature much better.
