Well, I think it may be official...

I think I may be leaving the Blackberry world for a TREO. I love my Blackberry (the durability, the e-mail PUSH, etc.), but the TREO has soo many more features, plus I can use it with EV-DO. Unfortuantely the newest BB Sprint has is the 7130 which is 100 years old, and is Suretype. My brother came down and he has a Treo, and the first thing that amazed me was the screen. It was CRYSTAL clear. I was completely shocked on how nice the screen was. Plus all of the cool features it just seems like a much better fit for me.

I will still be hanging around these forums (if I do decide to go for sure), but right now it looks like I will be making the jump :(

lol - why do you say that...

Although I can tell you, if Blackberry can get a screen like the Treo, with all of the features, and on Sprint, you are most certainly correct. Unfortunately it appears that RIM is decades behind the 8-ball when it comes to modern technology. Like I said before, I love my Blackberry, but this phone seems to be a much better fit.

And miles ahead when it comes to stability of the OS and secure wireless e-mail.

Exactly.

I've known many that have been distracted by the flashy screen....only to realize what they were giving up.

It is much more than the flashy screen... That is simply what 'caught my eye'

Wirelessly posted (NakedBerry: BlackBerry7250/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/104)

Just keep both Milkman. I got a Treo 700p in June. I've since gone back to my BB, but kept the Treo just in case. The Treo isn't as bad as people make it out to be (especially around here), I just missed my Blackberry.

I have gone from a Treo 600 to a Treo 650 to a PPC-6700 to a Treo 700 and backwards to a BB 7250 (all Sprint and all out of pocket retail cost). The Treo devices and the 6700 have a lot of 3rd party software that makes them great and to be honest there are quite a few that I miss every day...however, the stability of the BB OS is far superior and it got really frustrating reseting my device 2X daily and having to back up registry hacks just to get the phone working properly. You are correct the Treo is a great device but it has the same issues it has since its inception.

You'll be back (whether publicly acknowledged or not). But hey it doesn't hurt to try new things . . . just don't forget where you come from.

I placed the order. I will still be around here to help where I can. I will still be here to pimp the Gators in the off-topic forum. I look forward to a good Blackberry device on Sprint one day...

I don't know if I should laugh or what. The 8100 that is coming out tomorrow and it is going to blow away the Sidekick 3.

I won't be surprise if I see some Sidekick 3 owners end up getting the 8100.
