So yea, their replacing the one I have now. I told them that I have a dead pixel, a phone jack that does not work, and battery issue. I'm not even lying tho.. i really do have all these issue on my 8700g. I don't know what happen with my battery tho.. like couple of days ago it was still fine, but since yesterday it's been acting wierd. I fully charged it like 5 hours ago and now I only have 20% left (that is not normal). But anyway, I should get the new bb 8700g by tomorrow. Just sharing

It is so strange, when BBs go bad, they REALLY go bad. More than any other device I have ever owned, BBs seem to either be completely without flaw, or a catalog of every problem you can imagine! It kind of reminds me of British cars.

I sometimes wonder on these problem BBs, if the real problem isn't bad memory that is corrupting the JVM, and just making it seem like there are a million other problems because parts of the actual OS are getting damaged.

I have to agree - when they go - its for good. I have had several models of the each of the Nextel BB (7510 up to 7100I). Most worked just fine, but when it went, it was gone.

I had to replace my BB too via warranty exchange (should get today) because one of my keys is starting to go dead. As for the battery not lasting, you probably know this so forgive me, but do you happen to have BBToday on there or anything like that? I noticed a significant drop in battery time all of a sudden and then I did a search here and found that BBtoday drains battery life. I deleted it off my bb, and instantly my battery life went back to normal.

no.. I don't have bb today. But since I installed texas hold'em and medievel kings 2, the battery became very weak... Like right now, I just charged my battery overnight and now it's dying.
