Default Swapping Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone can tell me that if I swap Blackberry's does it work?

Problem: Old Blackberry which was purchased 4 years old, track wheel doesn't work like it use to. Thinking about swapping it out with an BB 7250 model which was an hand-me down. The BB 7250 has Earthlink ISP but since I received it it has been cancel. My Service provider is Cingular. I was wondering I can Swap the blackberry and use the 7250? If so how do I go about in the swapping.

I called Cingular support and they told me to take out my sim card and place it in the new 7250 and reconfigure the email settings and it should work fine. I thought that was simple enough but the 7250 don't have a slot to put the sim card in there and I don't think the 4 year old BB has a sim card also. So I am stump on what to do. Any help would be appreicated. Thank you all and have a nice day.

You can't use that Blackberry.
The 7250 is a CDMA device for CDMA networks and will not work on Cingular's network, which is GSM.

Really, I didn't know that. I thought that all BB was transferable from one to another. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

And if you tried, the 7250 doesn't use a SIM card. That would be a good hint!
