I dont know if anyone has posted this, but i have an 8707 and i was using data, but i noticed that is screws around with the volume on the ipod, like it makes it go silent to completely blasting your ears, i also have an 8700g but that doesnt do anything, when its close to the ipod, i guess its just the 8707 and the 2g and 3g technology,

just seeing if anyone else has experienced this.

Put your 8700g next to your computer speakers or underneith your car radio and you'll hear the GSM transmission coming through on the speakers.

Yes-- I've noticed the same thing. Makes the song skip sometimes too. I have an 8700r and a 60gb ipod video.

This is a known issue in the iPod world.
The new click wheel used in the 5th Gen iPods (beginning with their release in Oct. 2005) is suceptible to radio interference by GSM/GPRS phones. (Some iDen phones as well).
Ways to avoid it are to keep your iPod and phone further apart, or use the Hold switch on your iPod.
